El avance de 'Gonzalo' mantuvo en expectativa a los venezolanos, sin embargo, el meteorólogo Luis Vargas precisó para las 5 pm que se había degradado por completo.
"Gonzalo se ha degradado completamente. Sus remanentes seguirán moviéndose hacia el oeste a través del Caribe", indicó Vargas citando el último reporte realizado por el Centro Nacional de Huracanes de EE. UU.
Durante el día, el Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología (Inameh) había pronosticado precipitaciones con descargas eléctricas y eventuales ráfagas que sorprendieron a varias zonas del país.
En Caracas algunos árboles cayeron sobre vehículos y en la autopista Francisco Fajardo se reportó un volcamiento en medio de la lluvia; en algunos otros estados hubo apagones.
